The MetEdge incorporates Proa’s proprietary MetProtect automatic cleaning system, which ensures consistent data quality by cleaning pyranometers daily with demineralized water during off-sunlight hours. This automated process reduces the need for manual maintenance and supports long-term reliability. In addition, an integrated rainwater catchment and recovery system minimizes water usage and supports sustainable operations in remote or arid environments.​

Product Features
Automated Cleaning
The self-cleaning system is activated daily (between sunset and sunrise) using high pressure demineralized water to wash the domes of the instruments.
Wildlife Radar
The wildlife deterrent system works 24/7 detecting any bird or other kind of wildlife within 5 meters from the instruments, and in case of detection, mechanical arms are triggered.
Rain Catchment &
Filter System
The 200L water tank includes a water filter and rain catchment system to minimise water loss and reduce water tank refill cycles. The system includes a water level alarm system with automatic e-mail notifications.
